Building physical strength builds mental strength. I love doing planks and variations of them. My PT gets me to do pikes which are tough but have such a good impact on my core strength.
During my recent illness, I've had to slow down on the workouts as I've fell unwell. But we've still done something.
I can't wait to build up my stamina and strength again - we feel more capable when we improve the relationship with our bodies.
Great analogy and tips on how to get through the tough parts of a plank, EC. I'll have to put some of this to practice during my workout later to notice where my thoughts go and how I can encourage myself to keep going. Planks have been toughies for me, but practice will make it better!
Good for you for being able to hold those plank positions! That's awesome!
Well done on the planks, I find them really hard.
You are amazing!!
Great writing style :-)
Really admire your grit. Planks are brutal.

I hope you're celebrating yourself in style.
Secretly, my fave part was you doing Sesame Street's ABC song while holding those tough planks.
What an accomplishment.
